Jeffrey Rittichier is the President and Chief Executive Officer of EMCORE Corporation. Prior to taking this position, Mr. Rittichier was the President and CEO of NanoStatics Corporation, a leader in production nanofiber technology. Previously, he was the President of Epik Energy; a joint venture of Royal Dutch Shell and NanoDynamics which commercialized nanotechnology for the E&P industries. Mr. Rittichier was also the Vice President and General Manager of the Access Business Unit at Lucent Microelectronics and helped drive its $3.6B IPO as Agere systems. He has held various executive positions in General Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing in the Semiconductor Industry and was a driving force behind the growth and exits of Xponent Photonics (HOYA Corporation), and Polyscan (Etec Systems). Mr. Rittichier holds a BSME from The Ohio State University and is a Distinguished Alumnus of Ohio State’s College of Engineering. He has completed the Financial Management Program at Stanford University.

Iain Black is Senior Vice President of Operations for EMCORE Corporation, joining in May of 2017. Mr. Black has 30 years of semiconductor industry experience, the last 17 in compound semiconductors serving the RF and LED industries. He joins EMCORE after 8 years with Philips Lumileds, a leading LED manufacturer, where he served as General Manager of U.S. Operations and Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing Engineering. Mr. Black established an LED solutions business for the Illumination market driving the world’s first production 150 mm LED manufacturing operation. Prior to Lumileds, Mr. Black worked for 8 years in the RF industry with Anadigics, managing Wafer Fab Engineering and Operations through the rapid expansion of the mobile market, including directing supply chain and the construction of a Wafer Fab facility in mainland China. Mr. Black has a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Dundee in Scotland. He served 5 years as Co-Chair of the SEMI standards committee for LED and on the National Academy Committee for the assessment of Solid State Lighting.
Albert LuSenior Vice President of EngineeringSenior Vice President of Engineering
Albert Lu is Senior Vice President of Engineering of EMCORE, appointed March 2017, where he is focused on revamping EMCORE’s manufacturing systems through use of automation and data analytics. Since 2005, Mr. Lu has defined and implemented EMCORE’s China strategy, building the China organization from its nascent stages as a design center, to its current state as EMCORE’s key manufacturing center. He was appointed General Manager of EMCORE China in 2010. Prior to this, from 1999-2005, Mr. Lu served as a customer-focused Design Engineer at EMCORE, driving development of a variety of mixed-signal optical communication products. Mr. Lu received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an alumnus of the Stanford Executive Program.
Tom MinichielloChief Financial OfficerChief Financial Officer
Tom Minichiello is the Chief Financial Officer of EMCORE Corporation, joining in August 2019. Prior to taking this position, Tom was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of Westell Technologies, a supplier of communication network infrastructure and remote monitoring solutions. Previously, he was at Tellabs, an optical networking equipment provider, where his positions included interim Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of Financial Operations, and Vice President of Finance for North America. Prior to Tellabs, Tom served in various leadership roles at Andrew Corporation (now CommScope), Phelps Dodge, Otis Elevator, and United Technologies. He began his career in the finance organization at Sterling Drug. Tom serves as a Board Member for Sports Field Holding, Inc. (SFHI). He holds a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Operations Management from DePaul University, a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Hartford, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Villanova University. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant.
